Friday Reflection: The Art of Living Your Values

What are my values?

My values are financial security, knowledge, creativity, personal growth, well-being, and freedom.

I spend my days living my values. I spend my mornings reading about different topics like writing, Spanish, and now Portuguese. I attend coaching sessions and therapy. I tend to go to the doctor, exercise, rest, and eat in moderation. My time is mine to do as I please. I live a flexible lifestyle with freedom of choices. The world is my playground.

I decide what to do each day. I express my creativity by making art, writing, and designing learning materials.

I am the creator of my life with intention and purpose.

Friday Reflection: The Gift of Presence

How does it feel to be present?
For me, being present is a state of peace and contentment. My mind slows down, and I become fully aware of whatever I am doing.
When I am present in the here and now, my nervous system feels regulated. I become more grounded, my mind becomes clearer, and I have fewer racing thoughts. My creativity begins to flourish because I allow ideas to flow naturally instead of forcing them.
Presence allows me to experience myself and the world around me as they truly are, instead of through the stories my mind creates. Living in the present brings freedom to both my thoughts and my spirit.
In these moments, I experience inner peace, joy, and deep relaxation. The more time I spend in the present moment, the less anxiety I feel and the more joy I discover. Mindfulness helps me become more creative because ideas simply flow through me.

Friday Reflection: The Gift of Self-Compassion

Since my teen years, I used to be hard on myself, always setting high standards and expectations. If I didn’t meet my unrealistic goals, I would punish myself. No matter what I accomplished, I was never satisfied or celebrated my achievements.
After my mental health crisis, I learned to have compassion for myself and celebrate every milestone. Now my inner dialogue is more like a coach than a critic. As a result, I have become more creative because I eliminated the self-imposed pressure to succeed. Whatever I do in a day is enough now.
I still have goals, but they are flexible and not as rigid as before. One thing that has helped me develop self-compassion is gratitude—being grateful for what I am able to accomplish each day.

How have I been speaking to myself this week?

Rewrite one self-critical thought into a kind, supportive one.

Friday Reflection: The Gift of Becoming

While healing myself I was able to rediscover myself. Creating a life that is meaningful to me. It based on small daily habits, journaling every day, reading, practicing meditation, reiki, exercise, not for hours but just few minutes per day.

Now, I have a life of intentional moments that nourish the mind, body and soul. I have developed my artistic side by painting, writing poetry, blogging and playing musical instruments.

My rhythm is slow, yet I live in a busy city. Inside my home time slow down and I get to be myself, a multifaceted woman, who enjoys her time as she pleases.

Friday Reflection: Curiosity over Judgement

How can curiosity benefit you over judgement?

In my personal life I have benefit a lot by just being curious. During my difficult mental health challenges, I kept asking what’s next? that let me to seek different healers and therapies. Also make me more open to try different coping skills. My wellness improved because I kept a sense of curiosity and kept asking questions to my care team and myself. Now I am stable and creative than ever before.

Now I invite you to pause and think where in your life could curiosity add value to your life?
